The Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the worls and was declared a world heritage site in 1983 by UNESCO. Many of the sites I visited seeking what I should see in India Recommended the Taj Mahal.
Luckily this World Heritage site was on my Strict travel itinerary. Our knowledgeable guide had a lot of information to give us regarding this Wonder.
It was built by Shah Jahal for his dying wife Mumtaz Mahal who died during childbirth. She was his third wife and he had sworn not to remarry after her death.
